They want to stop the rail trail project that will connect Santa Cruz to Watsonville with a bike and pedestrian trail. They also want to confuse voters into voting against the 1/2¢ transportation tax measure.

Where Is the TRUTH?
There is no better source of information than your Regional Transportation Commission.
The RTC is a public agency comprised of the county supervisors, city mayors, representatives from Metro and Caltrans, and a staff of qualified and trained transportation specialists. http://sccrtc.org/projects/rail/passenger-rail/13082-2/
Maybe the people at Trail Now are confused, but that doesn't give them the right to plaster their yellow stickers all over the county.
Sticker Graffiti Crime is Epidemic!
More than 50 stickers have been identified on traffic signs throughout the county.
And stores are being hit, sometimes without permission of the owners.

"Trail Now" denies ANY responsibility, even though they paid to have them printed. The decals on traffic signs are the size of a dinner plate. The little ones at stores are smaller, 4 x 4 inches.
Trail Now claims that the these businesses support them:
Funny, because when contacted some stores don't even know the stickers are there.
Baskin Robbins was the first victim contacted, they removed the sticker immediately, followed by several other retailers.
The graffiti crimes started in December, dozens of lawn signs were illegally placed along the tracks. These illegal signs were removed. Trail Now blamed the sign on someone else.
Then on the morning of January 29, dozens of giant 8 inch square stickers were found along State Park Drive and Soquel Drive in Aptos.
Removal required two people and a ladder. The person responsible probably did this from the truck to get up high on the signs and move on to the next one.
And then more were found along San Andreas Road between Aptos and La Selva!
Another 25 stickers were identified alone High Street and West Cliff and other parts of Santa Cruz and Capitola, for a total of well over 50 acts of defacement:
The sheriffs asked for and are in possession of 25 of these stickers. Dozens more are being called in. Be sure to report any sightings to the sheriff or police non-emergency number. If you happen to see this happening you can call 911.
What did Trail Now do when confronted with the all of this trash? They denied it and then joked about it.
If you see anyone putting up stickers, call 911 and record the license plate.
Most businesses do not want to be associated with political movements and don't support random stickers that aren't related to their business.
If you see any stores with these stickers, please ask to speak with a manager or owner and find out if they are aware of this group.
Thank you!
But who is TruthNow? Never trust those who won't even show who they are.
